As our RN Clinical Program Manager, you are responsible for improving the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of nursing care provided to patients within the Virginia Mason Cancer Institute (Survivorship, Navigation, Nursing and community outreach) by conducting ongoing needs assessments to determine patient care improvement opportunities.
Every day you will plan and provide essential nursing education programs designed to significantly improve staff capabilities in providing specialized care to these patients. You will also plan, implement, and evaluate specialty nursing care program activities in conjunction with senior nursing leadership, a Guidance Team, nurse managers, and staff nurses, collaborating with other disciplines as needed. This includes conducting research to identify best practices, establish program objectives, monitor program outcomes against goals (including organizational safety goals), and make changes as appropriate. Beyond program management, you will offer bedside consultation and consult with providers and staff actively delivering care. You will educate through verbal, written, and hands-on experience to patients, family members, caregivers, staff, providers, and management, potentially conducting presentations at workshops or public speaking engagements.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate exceptional leadership in clinical program development and implementation, possess advanced clinical expertise in oncology nursing and patient care improvement, and exhibit strong analytical, educational, and interpersonal skills to drive impactful change and uphold the highest standards of care.
