As a Surgical Technologist at Holy Cross Hospital Salt Lake, you will provide support in a 10-suite surgical department averaging 350–400 cases per month. You will scrub for a diverse range of specialties—including Neuro, Ortho (trauma/totals), Bariatrics, ENT, and Plastics—as well as support Endoscopy, the Cath Lab, and IV therapy. There are no service teams, team members are cross trained to cover all services.

As our Certified Surgical Tech, you will work under the supervision of the surgeon and RN, bringing your certified expertise to keep the operating room organized, sterile, and ready for safe, efficient surgical procedures.
Every day, you will arrange and inventory sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical cases, passing items to surgeons and nurses as needed throughout the procedure. You will also assist in preparing and moving patients, along with sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment, and rooms between cases.
To be successful in this role, you will need current surgical technology certification, strong attention to detail, solid knowledge of sterile technique, and the ability to stay calm and communicate effectively as part of a fast-paced surgical team.
