Job Summary and Responsibilities

Performs general clerical duties in support of the day-to-day operations of the assigned pharmacy. Work includes (but is not limited to) activities such as: stocking prescription and OTC medications, stocking non-pharmaceutical items for sale, medication delivery, answering phones, and performing charge and credit functions. Other duties may include, in accordance with state law, typing prescription
labels, filing, entering information into a computer system, and may label drugs for subsequent use in dispensing operations.

Job Requirements

  • State Board of Pharmacy or Certification Pharmacy Tech required
  • Any combination of experience and education that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities
  • Ability to understand and follow routine to moderately complex verbal instructions and to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Proficient in English with the ability to read, understand and communicate in English sufficient to perform the duties of the position.
  • Strong proficiency with all standard office equipment and automated systems/applications/software,  and knowledge of modern office practices within a retail pharmacy environment.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology and abbreviations preferred
  • Capable of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships as required by the duties of the position.
