Founded in 1910, Dignity Health - Mercy Hospital is a 229-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in Bakersfield, California. Accountable to Nurse Manager, under the direction of the Nurse Shift Manger/Charge Nurse on duty, for all patient ECG monitoring and documentation requirements in addition to assisting with clerical duties of the units assigned.

Required Special Skills:
Computer literate. Ability to provide accurate, timely interpretation of cardiac rhythms by close observation of cardiac monitors to ensure patient safety. Ability to communicate critical changes in the monitor pattern to the nursing staff to ensure that timely
attention is paid to the patient's conditions. Ability to assist the nursing staff, as needed, to aid in the delivery of quality
patient care. Ability to problem solve. Ability to reflect an attitude of willingness to work with all staff members toward unit
goals. Ability to accept supervision and guidance and work cooperatively with others. Must have the ability to read, write
and speak English.
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
