If so, we invite you to seize a truly extraordinary opportunity at Mercy San Juan Medical Center!

Mercy San Juan, a proud member of CommonSpirit Health, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Family Birth Center (FBC) Leader to join our nationally recognized team. This isn't just a job; it's a chance to lead by example, inspire excellence, and fundamentally improve outcomes for a diverse and high-risk patient population.

Imagine leading a team that:

  • Delivers unparalleled care: Our Family Birth Center is proudly recognized by The Joint Commission with an Advanced Certification in Perinatal Care, a testament to our unwavering commitment to safety, quality, and excellence.
  • Empowers mothers with complex needs: We offer a specialized Diabetes and Pregnancy Program, providing crucial support and expert care to expectant mothers managing this challenging condition.
  • Provides comprehensive high-risk expertise: As the Level 3 High-Risk Facility within the greater Sacramento Dignity Hospitals, we are a beacon of hope for families facing complex pregnancies. Our dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and respiratory therapists are specialized in high-risk and antepartum care, ensuring both mom and baby receive the highest level of medical attention. We are a crucial referral center for Northern California, often welcoming antepartum transfers who may remain with us for extended periods until a safe delivery.
  • It is supported by cutting-edge resources: Our FBC boasts 28 beds, including 12 labor beds, 2 state-of-the-art Operating Rooms, a 2-patient PACU, 2 triage bays, and a 14-bed private Mother-Baby unit. We also have a Level III NICU adjoining our Family Birth Center, offering seamless support for our patients and care team.
  • Benefits from dedicated internal support: We average 150 deliveries a month, supported by experienced Nurse Shift Managers, a Perinatal Safety Specialist, and a Perinatal Certified Nurse Specialist. Crucially, we have in-house OB hospitalists and designated OB anesthesiologists to provide immediate and expert care to our patients and invaluable support to our staff 24/7.
  • Embraces innovation and continuous learning: Unique to CommonSpirit Health, our Women’s & Infants Service Line (WISL) supports all FBCs across our enterprise, focusing on new evidence-based practices and research. You'll be at the forefront of perinatal advancements, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

We are searching for a proven leader who:
