Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical Assistant, you will be a vital link between our patients and providers, directly influencing the quality of care and patient experience in both primary and specialty settings.

Every day, you will encounter diverse medical conditions and patient needs, requiring you to adapt quickly, prioritize tasks, and expand your clinical expertise across multiple specialties.

Your success in this role will be defined by your ability to seamlessly navigate varied clinical workflows, demonstrate exceptional empathy and professionalism, and contribute to a collaborative team environment dedicated to patient well-being.


10 hour shifts are available! 

Job Requirements

Required

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Six (6) months of experience in a medical office/clinic or graduation from an accredited Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Nursing Assistant Program
  • Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R) through the State of Washington, sponsored by Virginia Mason, required within 60 days of hire
  • BLS-RQI
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Professional demeanor with a positive, upbeat attitude, and strong communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from administrative and clinical staff, leaders, patients and physicians

 

Preferred

  • Associate degree or equivalent
