Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Patient Care Tech/Flow Coordinator, you will provide patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, contributing to our collaborative Team Medicine approach.

 

Every day you will assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, feeding, and basic hygiene. You will also perform essential patient care activities such as vital signs, observation and reporting of signs and symptoms of disease state, posturals, and simple dressing changes.

Job Requirements

Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant (NA-C)
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, diagnostic tests/procedures, and medications
  • Strong problem solving, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and respond appropriately in stressful situations
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in using a personal computer

Preferred

  • Previous experience as a Patient Flow Coordinator or Patient Care Technician
  • Familiarity with Virginia Mason clinical programs
