Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Staff Nurse, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans.   • Ensures a professional and responsive atmosphere by greeting patients, visitors, staff, and physicians promptly and courteously. Refers to each individual by name when appropriate. Screens individuals by requesting to see identification or visitor pass.
  • Performs initial and on-going collection and assessment of data focusing on biophysical, psychological, environmental, self-care education and discharge preparedness so as to ensure sufficient information about patient to enable development of the patient care plan. Insure that appropriate data from the patient's significant other(s) are included in the plan.
  • Administer treatments and medications according to written policy and procedure so that patients and families can expect that patient care services are provided in a manner conducive to achieving their optimal level of wellness and free of avoidable adverse consequences.
  • Demonstrates current competency in selected skills so as to deliver a level of patient care consistent with that outlined in unit specific performance standards, including procedural sedation.
  • Remain aware of posted patient rights within the institution so as to ensure those rights are upheld at all times. Act as patients advocate as required.
  • Plan for education of patients and as appropriate significant other(s) related to specific health care needs during the patient's stay.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program, upon hire or
  • Two years of recent experience as a RN in a hospital setting, upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire

Preferred

  • Bachelors Of Nursing, upon hire and
