Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Accountant II position helps secure the future viability of Friendship by ensuring our financial transactions are accounted for accurately, timely and with integrity and excellence.  This position reports to the Controller and requires a bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.  The ability to analyze financial information, adeptly use and understand financial programs and computers, create detailed and useful reports using Sheets/Excel, and work and think independently are paramount to success in this position.  The required work schedule is M-F, 8-5 (salaried position), with the expectation of longer hours during month-end close, year-end close, for deadline-driven projects and whenever workload dictates.  

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with course work in business administration or accounting. 
  • Experience with personal computer applications including spreadsheets, word processing and accounting software. 
  • Knowledge of office principles, practices and procedures including accounting and data entry. 
  • Ability to plan, organize and facilitate effective communication through clear speaking and writing.
