Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a RN on our Float/Flex Team, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery while presenting a positive attitude and being reliable,

Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans.   • Floats to departments as assigned and accepts assignments and duties with a professional approach so that patient hand off is done without interruption of care
  • Performs routine physical/psychosocial assessment to collect basic data: follows the written plan of care, standards, practice guidelines, utilizes pathways, which includes notifying physicians as appropriate
  • Formulates a plan of care for individual needs, including patient population needs. Participates in the planning of routine transitional health care needs (i.e. treatment options, patient placement options)
  • Adapts planned educational programs and information to individual patients and family by modifying teaching strategies or content. Integrates education during the delivery of patient care
  • Ensures efficiency in the delivery of care to determine immediate priorities and to offer solutions for problems
  • Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1-year consecutive recent (within the last five years) Cardiac Telemetry experience or higher level critical unit experience. May train when operational considerations allow
  • Associates Degree in Nursing
  • Ability to work in diverse areas
  • Current California RN license
  • Current BLS ACLS PALS and NRP.  If a candidate does not have PALS and/or NRP it must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer.
  • Verbal and written communication and computer skills
  • Completion of a basic dysrhythmia course

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • BSN
