Job Summary and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the designated Director or designee, the incumbent assists with the monitoring of the employees assigned to the above units to ensure a safe and secure environment for all who enter Mercy San Juan Medical Center. The incumbent also has initial responsibility for the smooth running of the various units in the best interest of patient care. Under general supervision, regularly performs a variety of supervisory and complex duties, as outlined below, involving review or processing which regularly requires the interpretation and application of specialize technical or program knowledge and exercises a high degree of independence, initiative and originality with little day-to-day supervision.

  • Greet customers (vendors, patients, staff, volunteers, and physicians) in person and on the phone, providing information, taking messages, scheduling appointments and or referring to appropriate individual or department.
  • Receive and process complaints and feedback from patients, families, physicians and staff. Collaborates with management for resolution.
  • Research and assist in development of capital and operating budget.
  • Maintains administrative control of a variety of records and files, including confidential and legal documents related to employees, and patients.
  • Review, aggregate, and trend Unit specific data/suggest/develop and resolve problems.
  • Research reason(s) for unfavorable productivity numbers, as requested by manager/designee.

Job Requirements

Required

  • High School/ GED Graduate.
  • 5 years in a health care setting. Strong database management.
