The Ivy Brain Tumor Center at Barrow Neurological Institute is a non-conventional non-profit program offering state-of-the-art clinical trials for patients with the most aggressive form of brain cancer. It is home to the largest collection of Phase 0 trials for brain tumors in the world. Our multidisciplinary team of brain tumor specialists and scientists are accelerating drug discovery and precision medicine in neuro-oncology to identify the most promising first-in-class therapies for brain tumor patients. Job Description:
The Ivy Center Market Development Representative plays a critical role in expanding patient access to Ivy Brain Tumor Center clinical trials by building, strengthening, and sustaining referral pathways with emergency departments, community physicians, and healthcare partners. This position serves as a key liaison between the Ivy Center and external providers to promote timely identification and referral of eligible brain tumor patients.
Under the direction of the Marketing Manager and in collaboration with leadership, clinical, research, and operations teams, the Ivy Center Market Development Representative develops and maintains strategic relationships with referring providers to increase awareness of the Ivy Center’s clinical trials and services.
This role is responsible for promoting the Ivy Center’s mission, supporting growth goals, identifying referral barriers, and enhancing collaboration between community providers and Ivy specialists to improve patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Marketing Communications Public Relations Healthcare Administration or related field
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare sales medical marketing physician relations pharmaceutical sales or healthcare business development.
• Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems and referral networks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong relationship-building and presentation skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
• Master’s degree (MBA MHA or related)
• Experience working with hospitals physician practices or specialty service lines.
• Experience in oncology neuroscience or clinical research environments.
• Understanding of clinical trials and research operations.
• Skills in data analysis contract negotiation and strategic planning.
