Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Surgical Tech, you will help prepare the operating room and surgical team so they can successfully perform a variety of surgical procedures for patients.

Every day you will set up surgical equipment and instruments, assist the surgical team, and ensure a sterile environment. You will be expected to adapt quickly, collaborate effectively within the OR team, and contribute directly to the patient's healing process.

To be successful in this role, you must possess adaptability, a strong team-player mindset, and enthusiasm for supporting complex surgical procedures.
  • Duties and responsibilities
  • Ensures a professional and responsive atmosphere by greeting patients, visitors, staff, and physicians promptly and courteously. Refers to each individual by name when appropriate.
  • Participates actively in the staffing needs of the department and hospital.
  • Participate in setting up an operating room prior to surgery, opening sterile packs and arranging instruments and equipment according to surgical procedures.
  • Assists with on-going procedure data collection with RN.
  • Plans activities (in scrub role) based on priority of physical and procedural needs.

Job Requirements

Required
  • Graduate of an ARC/STSA (AccreditationReview Council on Education in SurgicalTechnology and Surgical Assisting)accredited program of surgical technologyis required., upon hire and

Preferred
  • Previous clinical experience in healthcareis preferred, upon hire
  • Certified Surgical Technologist, upon hire
