Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Inventory Professional, you will efficiently and accurately manage supplies and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels.

Every day you will receive, stock, issue, and track inventory, performing counts, reconciling discrepancies, processing orders, and utilizing management systems.

To be successful, you will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in inventory software, crucial for operational efficiency and cost control.
  • Uses an automated inventory control and par leveling system for the ordering, receiving and stocking/restocking of medical supplies/equipment under the scope of the supply chain management function.



    • Restocks supplies daily and rotates inventory supporting accurate inventory levels, generating orders/requisitions as needed


    • Distributes medical supplies and equipment to patient care areas, while monitoring par levels for specific products to assure that appropriate levels are established in order not to affect patient care


  • Identifies opportunities to reduce costs through the manipulation of par levels, reorder points/min/max, reduction of holding costs



    • Identifies excess inventory, returning stock and processing credits


    • Notifies supervisor of outdates or slow moving inventory


    • Participates in the put away and validation process of perpetual inventory items; issues and credits materials from the inventory management system


  • Responsible for maintaining clean and orderly stock locations, and labeling bins and handling requests to change pars
  • Acts as liaison between clinical staff and supply chain management as needed
  • Works with and follows instructions of buyers and Divisional Inventory Coordinator in the event of recalls to pull relevant products
  • Lead Job Duties:



    • Provides on-the-job training to new or lower-level employees; monitors work flow, prepares work schedules and reviews work to ensure it meets quality and productivity standards; orders/maintains appropriate supply levels; identifies training needs and advises higher-level authority.


    • Assists in implementing new procedures or processes; explains new and/or revised procedures, forms or other tools to staff; may demonstrate new systems, PC applications, equipment or supplies.


    • Assists in the investigation of problem areas and/or complaints with respect to intra- and inter-departmental operations.


    • Works with management in developing quality monitors, in-service programs and orientation programs; may assume administrative responsibility for the department in the absence of the Supervisor/Manager.


Job Requirements

Required
  • One (1) year supply chain related experience or other relevant experience and
  • Lead: One year of work experience as an Inventory Tech (or equivalent) or
  • any combination of experience or education that would demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position.
