Job Summary and Responsibilities

RN New Graduates: 

 

We are not currently accepting new graduate or new to speciality applications.   Our next posting period will be July 1, 2026 for an October 16, 2026 start date.  Positions can be found under National Resident RN (<12 months experience as an RN) or RN Transition/Fellowship (>12 months experience as an RN.

Every day you will collaborate on comprehensive screenings, conduct critical risk assessments, provide vital preventative health education, and expertly coordinate care for diverse patient populations, leveraging technology to streamline processes. You'll ensure patients feel informed and at ease, patiently guiding them through instructions and addressing their concerns.

To be successful in this role, you will combine robust clinical knowledge and technological proficiency with genuine compassion, strong communication skills, and an adaptable approach to learning and patient-centered care.

  • Patient Satisfaction: Is a role model for the hospital's Patient Satisfaction effort, i.e. demonstrates AIDET principles when interacting with customers, subordinates and colleagues
  • Demonstrates, supports and promotes strict adherence to the policies and procedures of Saint Bernardine Medical Center and those of the Cardiac Cath Lab and instructs staff as needed for failing to follow appropriate protocol.
  • Demonstrates knowledge regarding the cardiac and peripheral vascular disease processes and the appropriate diagnostic and interventional processes.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of pharmacology including dosing, indications and contraindications of each drug. Ensuring the five "rights" of medication are adhered to. Also assures that controlled medications are accounted for and recorded per hospital policy.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in the use of all specialized equipment related to the Cath Lab.
  • Verified physician orders and reviews the patient's clinical record for consents, history and physical, NPO status, and allergies prior to the initiation of any procedure.

We are offering to qualified and experienced candidates a sign-on bonus not to exceed 10% of salary for this position.

Job Requirements

Required

  • California Registered Nurse license
  • 12 months consecutive experience within ICU and/or ER or CCL and/or Surgical Services is required.
  • Registered Nurse, CA
  • Basic Life Support - CPR
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support


Preferred

  • 1-3 years consecutive experience within ICU and/or ER or CCL and/or Surgical Services is recommended.
