Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Region Manager, Real Estate National Programs, you will provide leadership for the complete lifecycle of assigned capital construction or IT projects, ensuring successful design, construction, administration, completion, and financial outcomes.

Every day, you will oversee a substantial portfolio of capital-funded technology and construction projects across multiple markets, ensuring accountability for project success. You will communicate and interface extensively with Senior leadership (Region, Market, National, IT, Biomed, Hospital) for crucial capital project coordination. This includes providing meticulous oversight of project objectives and ensuring rigorous financial control through budget management, cash flow forecasting, and risk resolution, to deliver projects in quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.

To be successful in this role, you will possess extensive senior-level experience in managing large, complex capital construction or IT projects, ideally across multiple markets and with significant budgetary oversight. You will demonstrate exceptional leadership, financial management, risk assessment, and communication skills, capable of influencing diverse stakeholders and driving project success.

  • Responsible for managing the project delivery process for a larger number of projects within the assigned area.
  • Responsible for oversight of project financial objectives such as forecasting requirements, scheduling and monitoring expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective action.
  • Leads project teams in identification of risks and issues, problem solving, contingency planning and implementation of recommendations.
  • Communicates and interfaces with senior management through periodic meetings with Division leaders, CFOs and hospital presidents/CEOs.
  • Participates in facility, division and business development strategic planning processes.
  • Maintains project delivery resources and relationships by effectively recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees.

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelors Other Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Information, Technology or Architecture and/or equivalent experience required. Masters Preferred
  • 4-6 years Significant experience (5-7 years) in providing leadership and management direction related to planning, design and Construction, Infrastructure, or Technology for hospital construction projects. 
  • Experience in facilitating senior management and multidisciplinary user groups in planning, design and construction related meetings and presentations. 
  • Experience with project delivery methods such as design-build, design-bid-build 
  • Experience in developing conceptual project scope, schedules and budgets
  • Experience managing technical teams as part of capital construction projects 
  • Experience preparing contract documents
  • Experience managing project budgets and controls. 
  • Experience in health facility & building system design. 
  • Experience in equipment planning processes. 
  • Experience in health facility preconstruction processes and services. 
  • Experience with construction processes, building and life safety codes. 
  • Experience Managing multi-state projects or programs
  • Experience with approving authorities, OSHPD/HCAI (for State of California positions only) and similar regulatory agencies. 
  • Experience assembling, evaluating and leading project teams in complex environments and demonstrating effective decision making.
