What you'll be doing:

  • You'll be a trusted point of contact for our surgical oncology patients, guiding them through pre-operative workups, post-operative care, and ongoing surveillance. You'll educate, empower, and advocate for their needs at every turn.
  • Performing comprehensive assessments, evaluating symptoms, and skillfully triaging patient concerns, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
  • Working hand-in-hand with our surgical oncologists, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, and other multidisciplinary team members to develop and execute personalized care plans.
  • Providing vital education to patients and families regarding surgical procedures, post-operative care, medication management, symptom management, and what to expect during their cancer journey.
  • Proactively addressing side effects, managing complex symptoms, and offering compassionate support to enhance our patients' quality of life.
  • Assisting with in-clinic procedures, wound care, and ensuring a sterile and safe environment.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required
