- Functions within the scope of practice of an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) as defined within state regulations.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform in an accurate and precise manner in crisis and emergency situations. Demonstrates effective management of rapidly changing situations.
- Provides patient care and performs patient care procedures, including wound cleansing and dressing, immobilization, and re-assessment of patient condition and status. AEMT may do medical administration under medical direction and IV insertions.
