Founded in 1926, Dignity Health - Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center is a 334-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital. Serving over 70,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including a Level III NICU, heart care, wound care and surgical services. As a CNA Patient Care Assistant (PCA), you will be a central figure on our patient care team, providing direct, compassionate, hands-on support to patients and assisting nurses and other healthcare professionals. You will play a vital role in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and a supportive healing environment.
Every day, you will expertly perform basic patient care duties, such as taking vital signs, assisting with ADLs, monitoring and documenting intake/output, and collecting specimens. You will also maintain patient rooms, transport patients and equipment, and promptly report changes in patient condition to nursing staff, adhering strictly to safety protocols and infection control.
To be successful in this role, you will combine a strong empathetic approach, meticulous attention to detail in clinical tasks, and excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary teamwork. You will demonstrate a proactive commitment to patient well-being, a supportive demeanor, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced clinical environment, delivering compassionate care
