Acts as a resource for the Patient Access Department within their facility. Assist with hiring. Responsible for
training new staff, auditing charts, and process/policy implementation. Prepares monthly schedule for the
department. Assist Facility Administrator and patient access supervisor at their request.

• Courteously and Professionally greet patients.
• Obtain accurate demographic insurance information.
• Correctly code and verify insurance coverage.
• Collect estimated patient responsibility or screen patient for assistance programs.
• Answer all incoming calls to the facility.
• Provide assistance to patients presenting or calling with billing questions.
• Process medical records requests

Required

High School Graduate/GED

One year of recent medical office, hospital registration, or banking experience

Basic Life Support - CPR

Preferred

Associates Other or a combination of education and job-related experience and 1 year of management, supervisor, lead experience

Service recovery & conflict resolution

Medical terminology, insurance verification, Collections, Schedule creation and maintenance
