Job Summary and Responsibilities

The incumbent performs routine and complex diagnostic imaging procedures according to the written or transcribed verbal order of a physician and within the scope of his or her certification. Skilled in Radiography and one of the following: Computed Tomography, Angiography, MRI, or Mammography and assists physicians with invasive diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. Provides advanced leadership, support and training for other technologists; coordinates schedules and procedural supply inventories. Demonstrates competency in patient care for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Technologist can be required to participate in the department's call schedule to ensure coverage on weeknights, weekends, and holidays.

 

As our Special Proc Technologist, you will be a vital clinical professional, applying specialized X-ray energy for patient diagnosis or treatment. Every day, you'll meticulously perform complex radiological procedures and techniques, producing high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. You'll ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate positioning, operating advanced equipment with precision and upholding imaging standards. To be successful, you'll combine strong technical expertise with exceptional attention to detail, a deep understanding of radiation safety, and a compassionate, patient-focused approach, contributing to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment.

Job Requirements

 

  • California Fluoroscopic Permit (FLRAD) CA (within 90days of employment).
  • Medical Radiographer: CA.
  • Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
  • Medical Radiographer (MRAD), CA.


Preferred

  • One (1) year leadership responsibility.
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT.
  • Current California State Department of Health Services Certification as a Certified Radiologic Technologist Certification by the American Registration of Radiologic Technologists preferred.
