The Port Orchard Freestanding ED is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at our state-of-the-art free-standing emergency room. We are committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.

  • Adheres to the department’s and hospital’s policies and procedures, including safety, risk management and regulatory standards.
  • Keeps abreast of trends, developments and regulatory requirements impacting matters within designated scope of responsibility.
  • Administers, oversees and documents the administration of medications (e.g., topically, orally, intramuscularly, subcutaneously and intravenously) as ordered by the healthcare practitioner and in accordance with hospital policy.
  • Assesses patient to include physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral/emotional, developmental and spiritual needs.
  • Gathers data relevant for patient care.
  • Implements appropriate patient interventions and evaluates outcomes.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing., upon hire 
  • Previous E.D. experience current within the last 2 years or
  • Critical care experience, current within the last 2 years
  • Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support, RQI - CPR, upon hire 
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 60 Days of hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 12 - months of hire
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course, within 12 - months of hire
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course, within 12 - months of hire
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 12 - months of hire


Preferred

  • Bachelors Of Nursing and One year of related work experience in an acute care setting, upon hire and
  • Certified Emergency Nurse, upon hire
