Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Sr Sterile Processing Tech at Chandler Regional Medical Center, you will be a vital direct care professional responsible for the meticulous decontamination, assembly, preparation, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment. Serving as a crucial resource, this role demands adherence to rigorous infection control policies and manufacturer recommendations to support all ORs and clinics. You will provide essential direct patient care support by ensuring sterile instruments and equipment for a wide range of surgical needs across a diverse patient population, from infancy to later life/geriatric.

 

Every day you will utilize various methods of high/low temp sterilization and disinfection, maintaining stringent quality control and biological monitoring systems. You'll coordinate sterilizing schedules to efficiently meet instrumentation needs, troubleshoot minor equipment issues, and expertly prepare and distribute case carts. Your responsibilities include managing computer systems for instrument tracking, supply pick lists, and stock returns, all while communicating implant re-order needs and liaising with vendors for loaner/consignment trays.

 

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate your expertise in sterile processing. Essential skills include the ability to follow instructions, analyze data, coordinate tasks, manage workload, and communicate effectively while upholding professionalism. This role also involves problem-solving, compliance with sterilizing policies, and the physical demands of medium work, including frequent walking, standing, and various movements.   • Assists with implementation of infection control policies

Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Eighteen (18) months of surgical instrument technician experience
  • CRCST or CSPDT
