Job Summary and Responsibilities

Tele Med Surg Registered Nurse

 

As our Tele Med Surg RN, you will help our patients receive high-quality, compassionate care so they can achieve optimal health outcomes. Every day you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care in the nursing unit. You will be expected to supervise care according to policies, procedures, and the State Nurse Practice Act. To be successful in this role, you must be skilled in delivering comprehensive patient care while adhering to established standards.

 

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to our mission, values, and Journey Beyond Excellence expectations to foster a compassionate, healing environment, providing physiological, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and visitors.
  • Assure quality of care by adhering to policies, philosophies, and standards of care regulated by the ND State Board of Nursing, the ND nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.
  • Utilize the nursing process, including planning, assessment, intervention, and evaluation, to develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care for the patient and family focused on optimal patient outcomes.
  • Meet the educational needs of patients, families, and co-workers utilizing principles and current professional literature to achieve positive learning outcomes.
  • Delegate nursing care with respect based on knowledge of staff qualifications, competencies, and individual patient care needs.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.

 

THIS JOB OFFERS BOTH AN INCENTIVE AND RELOCATION: We are offering a $25,000 Sign-On Bonus in addition to relocation to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Nursing Degree from an approved school of nursing
  • LICENSURE Active Registered Nurse license in good standing with the North Dakota Board of Nursing or Active Registered Nurse license in a compact state
  • Working knowledge of clinical skills in delivery of patient care
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within the orientation period and meets re-certification as required
  • Good communication skills necessary for constant communication, both oral and written, with patients, families, visitors, and medical center staff
  • Accountable for own conduct and promotes and supports positive working relationships among staff, between other disciplines, departments, families, visitors, and patients
  • Maintains confidentiality
