Security Officer

As our Security Officer, you will monitor buildings and grounds on the property to ensure the safety and security of employees, patients, and other visitors.

Every day you will monitor the property by walking and driving around the premises. Your security detail could include guarding facility and unit access points, monitoring surveillance cameras, testing new security technology, and protecting all employees/visitors against acts of violence should they arise.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need the ability to remain calm and take action based on the situation, known facts, and understand the position limitations. You are also expected to respond to emergency codes in a timely manner. Previous experience in security/patrol in a healthcare setting is preferred.

• Patrol on foot and by vehicle the facility and grounds.
• Patrol on foot and by vehicle all perimeter buildings and posts.
• Regulate parking by employees and visitors.
• Give directions and assist with minor vehicle problems.
• Provide escorts for employees.
• Provide security coverage in the Emergency Department.

Required

• High School GED or three (3) years’ experience as a security officer, upon hire or
• High School Graduate or three (3) years’ experience as a security officer, upon hire and
• Six (6) months experience as security officer in a hospital or healthcare setting, prior law enforcement or military service; or
• one (1) year experience as a security officer.
• Driver's License: KY, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
