Founded in 1938, Dignity Health - Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta is a 25-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in Mt. Shasta, California. Serving over 40,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including a Level III Trauma Center, heart care, cancer care, and a family birth center. The Vice President of Ancillary Services provides executive oversight for ancillary and support service departments, ensuring operational excellence, strategic program development, financial stewardship, and high-quality patient care delivery across all areas of responsibility. This leader is accountable for driving performance through effective human resource management, quality improvement initiatives, productivity optimization, and the achievement of key operational and clinical performance indicators.

The VP plans, directs, and maintains staffing models that support safe, efficient, and patient-centered care delivery on a 24-hour basis. In collaboration with department leaders, medical directors, physicians, executive leadership, and the Board of Directors, this role fosters strong interdisciplinary partnerships to ensure services are delivered in a timely, cost-effective, and high-quality manner aligned with organizational goals and community needs.

Serves as a key liaison among patients, families, physicians, and care teams to support communication, service excellence, and resolution of complex operational or patient care concerns as needed.

Provides executive oversight of budget development and financial performance for designated service areas, maintaining accountability for fiscal management, operational efficiency, and achievement of budgetary targets while identifying opportunities for growth and service enhancement.

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a related healthcare or ancillary services field required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive direct management experience required.
• Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing complex operational, financial, and human resource functions preferred.
