Bruceville Terrace has been providing quality, compassionate care since 1989. Licensed as the 171-bed sub-acute skilled nursing facility of Methodist Hospital of Sacramento, Bruceville Terrace offers care for the elderly, as well as those requiring extended recoveries. 

 

Bruceville Terrace provides skilled nursing, rehabilitative and complex medical services to our patients and residents using an interdisciplinary team approach. Over half of the facility is dedicated to skilled nursing/convalescent care, while the remaining beds are committed to meet the medical and rehabilitative needs of the short-term patient after a stay at the acute care hospital. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Skilled Nursing Manager (RN), you will help the healthcare team at Bruceville Terrace foster a supportive, collaborative environment so they can meet the needs of residents, families, and physicians while delivering high-quality nursing services in a cost-effective manner.

 

Every day you will provide direction and leadership, oversee day-to-day operations, and manage human resources for your direct reports (LVNs, CNAs, and Unit Assistants). You will be expected to develop innovative methods for performance improvement, ensure compliance with facility policies and regulations, and make decisions regarding patient placement and care requirements.

 

To be successful in this role you will possess strong gerontological and skilled nursing practice knowledge and a proven ability to lead and mentor a nursing team. Strong communication, data analysis, and workload management skills are essential.

  • Schedules nursing staff to specific shifts, taking into account past utilization trends.
  • Measures employee performance and assists in the training of new staff members, as well as the development of existing staff members.
  • Coordinates the activities of the unit during a particular shift and directs, organizes, and assigns work to the nursing staff.
  • Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care.
  • Institutes emergency procedures as necessary.
  • Provides nursing care to patients on an as needed basis.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN), or equivalent education and experience
  • Three (3) years of recent Skilled Nursing experience
  • One (1) year of leadership experience
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
