7HLT - Observation Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is a 21 bed unit, with an additional 10 observation beds located in Zone 4. The unit provides care for patients with cardiac, medical and surgical diagnoses. The nurses provide monitoring and interventions for patients in observation with specific conditions and/or symptoms that include (low-risk cardiac patients, general surgical, medical patients, orthopedic, low-risk neurosurgical, low-risk congestive heart failure patients). Nurses provide quality, timely and efficient care to our short stay patients. Nurses will gain a variety of knowledge and experience in this fast paced learning environment, while working cohesively with other departments to enhance learning and professional development.
