Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Registered Nurse (RN) in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), you will be a vital and compassionate healthcare professional dedicated to the most fragile and vulnerable patients. Your expertise will be pivotal in delivering high-quality, specialized care that truly impacts the well-being and recovery of neonates and their families. As our NICU RN, you will help ensure that these infants can have a positive outcome and thrive.

Every day, you'll use your advanced clinical skills and profound empathy to provide individualized, comprehensive care to critically ill and premature infants. You'll seamlessly collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (neonatologists, respiratory therapists, social workers, and other specialists) to achieve the best developmental and health outcomes for our tiniest patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Specialized Neonatal Care: Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the neonate, adapting care plans to their evolving developmental needs and complex medical conditions.
  • Prioritized & Holistic Care: Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the delicate needs, comfort, and developmental considerations of the neonatal patient and their family.
  • Acute Condition Recognition: Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt swiftly to subtle changes in a neonate's condition in a timely and clinically appropriate manner, often anticipating potential complications.
  • Effective Communication: Clearly and concisely notify physicians and other providers of clinical findings, and performs thorough, bedside nurse-to-nurse report to ensure seamless continuity of care for our vulnerable patients.
  • Family-Centered Support: Educates and supports families, involving them in the care of their infant, and providing emotional support during a critical and often stressful time.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Registered Nurse: AZ, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support -American Heart Association
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 90 Days of hire


Preferred

  • One year level IIEQ or III or
  • NICU experience
  • National Certified Counselor, upon hire
