Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Echo Tech/Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions.

Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies.

To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.

 

  • Performs Cardiovascular Ultrasound Procedures
  • Maintains Equipment and Supplies
  • Interacts with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Facilitates scheduling of sufficient personnel for efficient clinic acvies.
  • Coordinates services between physicians, hospitals, clinics and outreach services.
  • Contributes to a congenial work environment.
  • Accurately prepares monthly reports for productivity.
  • Maintains accurate log of echo procedures performed.
  • Correctly charges for procedures performed.
  • Assist with the development and update of policy and procedure manual.
  • Assist Cardiovascular Administrator with capital budget.
  • Participates in in services and continuing education programs to advance knowledge of echo testing. Provides learning opportunities for participants in outreach program.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Minimum of two years college with emphasis in medical sciences and mathematics. and Five years experience as Echocardiographic technologist, upon hire and
  • Verifiable completion of 18 contact hours of in-service/continuing education in clinical Echocardiography, upon hire
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, within 12 - months or
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, within 12 - months or
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, within 12 - months or
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo, within 12 - months or
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo, within 12 - months or
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, within 12 - months or
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Fetal Echo, within 12 - months or
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
