Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Clinical Supervisor, you will ensure an optimal patient experience and high-quality care, leading overall department operations, staff, and financial oversight.

Every day you will coordinate department activities, incorporating diverse care needs with cost containment, while hiring, training, evaluating, and supervising staff. You will also provide leadership, perform delegated administrative functions hospital-wide, and act as a crucial liaison and resource to various stakeholders, with the authority to act on behalf of Administration.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong leadership, operational expertise, effective staff management, and a commitment to quality, patient-centered care, overseeing CSU staff, Administrative Coordinators, Certified Nursing Assistants, and the Supervisor of Transport.

  • Performance Expectations
  • Participates in selection, training, and evaluation of subordinates and initiates personnel actions in accordance with Human Resources policy and organizational philosophy Participates in development and maintenance of department policies and protocols. Understands, communicates and enforces hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Establishes and maintains department staffing. Develops and evaluates staffing levels ensuring appropriate number of qualified/competent staff are available while maintaining cost effective staffing mix and patterns.
  • Participates in the orientation of personnel. Provides educational resources and serves as the resource person.Assists management in the development of the department operating budget and maintaining necessary controls to assure compliance with budgeted expenses, resources and staff productivity
  • Actively advocates for patient rights and identifies potential conflict. Serves as a resource person for resolution of conflict within the department
  • Ensures nursing standards and practice are developed and met in accordance with Quality Standards and Evidence Based Operations

Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelors Of Science inNursing ( BSN) or related field, upon hire 
  • 4-6 years Five years nursing experience in an acutecare hospital required.
  • Leadershipexperience., upon hire 
  • CA RN license, upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire 
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire 
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire
