Are you a driven pharmacy student eager to gain invaluable real-world experience? We're seeking highly accurate and detail-oriented Pharmacy Interns to join our dynamic team and make a tangible impact on patient care. This isn't just an internship; it's a stepping stone. You'll work directly with licensed pharmacists, progressively building your skills in medication preparation, compounding, inventory management, and specialized distribution across diverse settings like inpatient, retail, specialty, or ambulatory care.

 

What You'll Do (and Learn!):

  • Master Medication Management: Assist with sterile and non-sterile compounding, unit dose repackaging, and ensure meticulous control of controlled substances, adhering to all DEA, FDA, and state regulations.
  • Optimize Operations: Utilize cutting-edge pharmacy automation to enhance safety and efficiency in drug distribution.
  • Impact Patient Care: Support pharmacists in verifying prescriptions, performing patient consultations, and providing crucial drug information to healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Develop Expertise: Gain experience in a variety of settings, conducting medication storage area inspections, managing inventory, and performing essential pharmaceutical calculations.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Respond to inquiries from healthcare professionals and patients, triaging requests and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Grow with Us: Actively participate in clinical and administrative functions, increasing your responsibilities as your education progresses, preparing you for your future as a pharmacist.

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience: Current enrollment in an accredited College of Pharmacy

Required Licensure and Certifications: Active Pharmacist Intern License in good standing in the state of ND

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training: Verbal and written communication, Knowledge of drug names desired with the expectation of continuing education on new drugs. Knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to the pharmacy profession. Skills in multi-disciplinary team involvement with direct patient care. Must be available to work rotating shifts and weekends.
