Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

  • Operates Radiographic, Tomographic, Fluoroscopic and mobile Radiographic and Fluoroscopic equipments. Sets technical factors and follows established protocols to produce diagnostic images
  • Uses positioning and immobilization devices as appropriate in safe and effective manner
  • Assesses patient prior to performing procedures.
  • Assures there is a written order prior to performing the procedure. Obtains pertinent clinical information prior to the exam and reviews comparison and complimenting procedures or reports when available.
  • Assesses monitors the patient, reports and documents changes in the patient condition and/or support equipment (IV, O2, Chest Tubes, ET Tube, etc.). Assist Radiologist/Physician during procedure, including sterile technique.
  • Implements AIDET and National Patient Safety Goals as standard to interacting with Imaging Patients

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Recently received a certification of completion from a Radiologic Technology program, obtained no more than 1 year prior to date of hire
  • Board eligible for State and National Licensure.
  • Basic Life Support - CPR
  • Ability to read an interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the hospital.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and how to draw and interpret a bar graph.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
