Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Physical Therapist Assistant, you will provide personalized rehabilitative care and empathetic support, working closely with patients to restore function and improve their quality of life.

Every day you will expertly implement treatment plans, guide patients through therapeutic exercises, monitor progress, and meticulously document interventions to ensure comprehensive and effective care.

To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding clinical knowledge, strong communication skills, and a patient, compassionate demeanor, contributing to overall patient recovery and well-being.

  • Utilizes appropriate treatment techniques based on patient diagnosis and understands the rationale for use.
  • Treatment plan, as implemented, reflects needs and goals identified on evaluation, and demonstrates diversity and creativity to achieve goals.
  • Prioritizes treatment plans when time is limited in order to effectively meet treatment goals.
  • Ensures safe and effective treatment by communicating with the supervising PT regarding patient needs, changes in the patient's condition or the response to treatment given.
  • Is able to provide clear, concise and effective age-appropriate communication to patients or families to motivate patients and obtain their cooperation in achieving mutually agreed upon goals.
  • Adheres to basic medical and safety precautions for patient; including monitoring vital signs, following precautions and contraindications for modalities, and specific to patient's diagnosis.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Associate Of Arts PTA program
  • Experience as a PTA working in a clinical setting with adult population, preferably rehabilitation; demonstrated leadership,initiative and ability to assume responsibility; demonstrated proficiency in all PTA skills; demonstrates one or more areas of well-developed clinical expertise that is used regularly in assigned area; demonstrates current continuing education in specialty area.
