Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiology Assistant you will ensure efficiency and good patient care. Major responsibilities are as follows: Prepares room for procedure, ensures all necessary supplies are available. Set-up patient on the table for exam. Completes screening for Invasive procedures & contrast injections. Instructs outpatients on proper preparation and explains exam to patient. Obtains H & Ps, Rxs, previous studies, Lab & Pathology reports prior to patient's exam. Coordinates scheduling of required lab tests, ensuring results are available prior to exam. Greet and escort patients to and from changing areas for outpatient procedures. Transports in-house and emergency room patients to and from the department ensuring proper hand-off communication. Performs required PACs duties. Performs Film Library Duties[Title], you will help [who] [what] so they can [outcome].

  • Demonstrate working knowledge of hospital safety policies and health standards.
  • Have the ability to take on the spot in servicing and be adaptable to the changing technology of Imaging Services and equipment

 

Job Requirements

Required

  • Previous experience in medical setting Medical terminology

  • Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) with 30 days of hire



Preferred

  • Certified Nursing Assistant: CA (CNA:CA) or Emergency Medical Technician: CA (EMT:CA) or Medical Assistant Certification: CA (MAC:CA)
