Located in the Phoenix, Ariz., suburb of Chandler, the Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 429-bed, not-for-profit hospital with more than 2,600 team members and almost 1,000 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. Chandler Regional joined the Dignity Health system in 1999, but has been part of the community for more than 50 years. The hospital includes a Level I Trauma Center, a Heart and Vascular Center, a Wound Healing Center, a Family Birth Center and many additional services. Dignity Health Chandler Regional, Mercy Gilbert, and Arizona General Hospital Mesa awarded $422,000 in grants to support five community projects led by 15 local organizations. Since 1991, Dignity Health's Community Health Improvement Grants program has provided $91 million to nearly 3,800 health projects, focusing on vulnerable and underserved populations.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Paramedic, you will provide advanced emergency medical care and transport to critically ill or injured patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings.

Every day you will rapidly assess scenes, evaluate conditions, and administer life-saving interventions, while safely operating emergency vehicles and documenting care.

To be successful, you will demonstrate expert clinical skills, exceptional critical thinking under stress, and compassionate communication, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

  • Assists in patient/equipment preparation and retrieves necessary equipment and supplies
  • Documents clinically relevant findings in patient's record according to hospital protocols.
  • Prepares patients for transportation to other department/areas.
  • Assists with patient admission discharge and transfer. Discharges patients, documents discharge, and adjusts discharge with MD order and in collaboration with RN.
  • Initiates orders according to the time performance standards.
  • Collects laboratory specimens according to hospital protocol, maintaining hospital standard of zero tolerance for mislabeled specimens.

  • High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire and

  • Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic: AZ, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 - months and
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 6 - months and


Preferred

  • Direct patient care experience.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program, upon hire and
  • Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic NREMT, upon hire
