Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Grant Program Manager, you will lead the design, implementation, and tracking of grant activities under the Director of Community Health, assisting funders in achieving public health initiatives. You will identify and implement significant operating efficiencies for optimal grant fund utilization, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team for program referrals.

Every day you will manage grant projects, focusing on improving efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality of operations through project work, consultation, training, and reporting. Your expertise will be vital in navigating the complexities of grant program management.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a broad understanding of grant management principles, including organizational management, outcome measurement, and budgetary oversight, coupled with outstanding problem-solving skills and a strong background in managing complex projects within tight deadlines. You will also serve as the resident expert in your grant program, continuously updating your knowledge through education and networking.

  • Lead process in coordinating statewide program trainings. Oversee program leaders and volunteers statewide by providing fidelity checks, ongoing quality circle training and feedback.
  • Works with the Director and Grant Officer to continually seek, write and secure additional grant funding. Establish labor budgets, staffing models and other measurable metrics/methods to achieve grant requirements. Seek opportunities to develop relationships with key community stakeholders and potential partners to ensure program growth and to establish a resource network to achieve grant scope.
  • Oversees the planning/development/implementation/upgrading/ maintenance/evaluation of State Grants. Highly preferred that the person has extensive functional knowledge and background in this area.
  • This position is responsible for identifying opportunities for collaboration with statewide partners, contracting and monitoring work flows. The position is responsible for setting and monitoring standards to achieve grant outcomes with State guidance. The position is responsible for benchmarking efforts among the industry and Dignity Health that involves identifying and implementing best practices.
  • The position recruits, retains and leads a statewide Steering Committee responsible for providing guidance on the implementation of evidence-based programs to reduce disease burden. Plans the agenda, engages the committee and reports and implements recommendations. Documents all meeting minutes and is transparent to the state on all meetings.
  • Manages the revision and implementation of policies and procedures required by the hospital, state and evidence-based programs. Follows all state and federal grant requirements and policies and procedures. Highly preferred that the person have extensive functional knowledge and background in this area. Manages the work of assigned staff to maintain and revise aforementioned work. Responsibilities include oversight of contract instructors, interns, program facilitators and volunteers.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelors Other
  • Minimum two years experience in related program, grant management in Business, Public Health, or Healthcare Administration.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills., upon hire.
  • Board/Steering Committee coordination experience; excellent analytical abilities and a working knowledge of grant management, state billing and reporting.

 
Preferred:

  • Masters Other.
  • Five years experience in customer service, operations, public health or project management.
  • Experience with evidence-based programs.
  • Teaching and Training experience.
  • Special events and Community Collaborations. , upon hire
