Job Summary and Responsibilities

Are you a meticulous and compassionate individual with a passion for supporting vital lab operations? We're looking for a dedicated Lab Assistant to join our team and play a crucial role in patient care!

What you'll do:

  • Be the backbone of our lab's specimen processing and intake, ensuring samples are organized, correctly distributed, and handled with care.
  • Manage send-out testing, meticulously preparing and packaging specimens for external labs.
  • Champion positive patient identification and embody HumanKindness in every interaction.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and efficient workflow, taking ownership and assisting team members.
  • (If qualified and regulated) Perform blood collection (phlebotomy) on all age groups, including Blood Bank collections, adhering to best practices.
  • (If qualified and regulated) Conduct CLIA waived and moderately complex laboratory testing, diligently evaluating and releasing results under CLS guidance.
  • Maintain lab equipment, monitor supply inventory, and assist with stocking and logging.
  • Utilize good judgment and seek assistance when needed to ensure smooth operations.

Job Requirements

Required: High School Diploma/GED

Preferred: Lab Assistant Program certification; Phlebotomy program certificate
