Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our RNFA, you will champion excellence across multiple ORs and PACU bays, bridging frontline care with strategic leadership to redefine surgical outcomes.

  • Employee has the willingness and ability to perform additional duties and responsibilities in different areas of the department on an as-needed basis or as determined by management.
  • Follows established hospital and department policies.
  • Attends 80% of staff meetings and read and initials minutes of all meetings.
  • Develops innovative solutions to departmental problems.
  • Identifies and implements methods of controlling costs or generating revenue while providing maximum value to both the patient/customer and the hospital.
  • Makes decisions in accordance with the best interests of the individual and organization we serve. Avoids actual, and the appearance of, conflict of interest.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Certificate Other Successful completion of an RNFA program that meets the AORN standards for RN first assistant education programs
  • Three (3) years Perioperative Practice.
  • Experience in both scrub and circulating RN roles
  • Registered Nurse: CA
  • Basic Life Support - CPR BLS, within 30 Days
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS, within 30 Days
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support - PALS, within 6 - months
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room - CNOR, upon hire


Preferred

  • Bachelors Of Science Nursing BSN
  • Previous first assist experience
  • Experience as RN and First Assist in CVOR, Ortho, Neuro, General, Robotics,GYN, Advanced Endoscopy, Hybridprocedures and urology highly preferred
  • Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant CRNFA
