As our National Internal Traveler Surgical Technician, you will serve as a vital clinical partner, providing expert technical support across our national network of surgical facilities. You will be responsible for the seamless preparation of the operating room and the sterile field, ensuring that all surgical instruments and equipment are ready for use. By traveling to various locations, you will provide essential continuity of care, supporting the surgical team in delivering high-quality, patient-centered outcomes in diverse environments.
Every day you will contribute to departmental goals by meticulously preparing sterile supplies and performing technical tasks within the sterile field. You will act as an integral part of the surgical team by scrubbing in for procedures, assisting the surgeon with instrumentation, and anticipating the unique needs of each case—whether routine or unexpected—to ensure the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency are maintained throughout the surgical intervention.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional technical proficiency, a deep understanding of human anatomy and pathophysiology, and the ability to adapt quickly to different facility protocols and team dynamics. You are a detail-oriented professional who thrives in high-pressure environments, consistently upholding rigorous aseptic practices and collaborating effectively with the Registered Nurse and the broader surgical team to support the patient’s plan of care.
