As a Registered Nurse at St. Anthony North Hospital, you will provide comprehensive perioperative care within a department that supports surgery, the GI Lab, and the Pain Clinic. The unit features 13 pre-op rooms and 19 PACU bays, managing a high-volume daily average of approximately 40 surgical cases, 15 GI procedures, and 30 pain management cases. You will be cross-trained to work in both pre-op and PACU, with the expectation to float between these areas to ensure consistent coverage for our patients. Your responsibilities include the full scope of care: performing pre-op calls and Pre-Admission Testing (PATs), facilitating patient transports, and managing clinical recovery for both surgery and GI patients. You will be responsible for recovering both Phase I and Phase II patients in a unified setting, ensuring seamless care transitions throughout the perioperative and procedural process.
For more than 50 years, St. Anthony North Hospital has delivered optimal health care to the communities of Westminster, Erie, Brighton, Broomfield, Northglenn and Thornton. Highlights of our campus include 60,000 square feet of integrated primary and specialty care physician clinics, ambulatory surgery center, birthing center with private birthing suites, Level III Trauma Center with 24/7 emergency services, over 150 inpatient beds and an outpatient diagnostics center with lab and imaging services. In 2023, we received our prestigious Magnet designation! We are so proud of our nursing staff for this achievement, which is awarded to less than 6 percent of hospitals in the United States. Built on the pillars of convenience, wellness and person-centered care, we offer inpatient and outpatient care at one site, with an emphasis on preventive health, wellness and health education.
As our RN, you will assume responsibility for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the healthcare team and patient/family to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient, advancing modern nursing through compassionate care.
Every day you will promote optimal patient health, well-being, and safety through the nursing process, adhering to patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act, and demonstrating personal accountability for relationship-based care and our organizational mission.
To be successful in this role, you will be a Registered Nurse with a commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care, strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to apply the nursing process effectively within a supportive, mission-driven environment.
