Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Patient Services Representative, you will be the welcoming voice and central administrative support, ensuring seamless patient experiences and efficient clinic operations through diverse engagements.

Every day, you will expertly manage phone customer service, distribute communications, and handle patient information like demographics, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling. You'll also process referrals, authorizations, pre-registrations, and other clerical tasks, adapting to clinic needs while responsibly handling sensitive data.

To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional communication, meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and system proficiency. Your proactive service, adaptability, and responsible handling of information are crucial for patient care and clinic goals.

  • Demonstrates proficient computer skills with ability to use multiple systems including scheduling, PACS, Powerscribe, patient registration and Cerner while maintaining highly accurate work.
  • Demonstrates effective telephone techniques and is able to answer multiple incoming calls and directs calls appropriately providing outstanding customer service using professional phone etiquette.
  • Demonstrates effective use of PACS system to print films, burn CD's, import studies and other general functions in the system
  • Basic ability to use Microsoft Office to produce department documents in an accurate and professional manner.
  • Reads medical reports over the telephone to physicians and their staff and properly use "read back and verify" to ensure accurate communication.
  • Performs various clerical functions as needed by department.

Job Requirements

Required

  • One (1) year clerical and/or receptionist experience in hospital or medical clinic.
