Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Pharmacy Technician you will help our Pharmacists so they can ensure the appropriate distribution of medications in compliance with state and federal laws and in accordance with CSH policies and procedures.

 

Everyday you will prepare and dispense prescribed medications for patients. You will be expected to perform compounding of intravenous medications, assist in managing inventory, perform charging and creditng fuctions for medications associated with the distribution process, and preform routin clerical/administrative tasks.

 

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Be able to operate and maintain automated medication delivery systems and devices
  • Participate in department quality assurance programs and maintain quality assurance documentation
  • Be trained and certified in IV admixture preparations, including all regulatory and compliance requirements with required training and documentation
  • Possible preperation and handling of hazardous/chemotherapy medication

 

Job Requirements

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current Oregon State Pharm Tech license
  • Six (6) months experience with compounding IV medication
    • Pharmacy Tech's without this experience are still encouraged to apply.
