As our Risk-Patient Safety Manager, you will be a key player in healthcare risk management, driving patient safety initiatives and ensuring regulatory compliance within our hospital. This pivotal leadership role focuses on proactive risk prevention and effective loss mitigation strategies, aligning with administrative leadership to safeguard patient well-being and uphold our commitment to quality care. Every day you will oversee the comprehensive incident reporting system, conducting thorough investigations and root cause analyses (RCA) to identify and address potential risks. You'll lead impactful Patient Safety and Risk Management activities, facilitate liability claim management, and actively participate in Hospital Performance Improvement committees. Your responsibilities will also include meticulous preparation of risk management reports, ensuring adherence to Joint Commission and CMS standards, and maintaining constant readiness for accreditation and licensing surveys.
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and a strong background in healthcare risk management, ideally with a Registered Nurse (RN) license and Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) certification. You must possess excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills, coupled with a proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively across various departments. Your expertise in developing and interpreting legal documents and advanced computer skills will be essential for navigating complex regulatory landscapes and driving continuous improvement in our patient safety programs.
