Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Cath Lab Tech, you will help deliver excellent patient care by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease in the cath lab setting.

Every day you’ll independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab including but not limited to: IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet. You will demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques of all diagnostic and interventional procedures, utilize good radiation safety practices and you will make a positive impact on internal and external customers.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.



    1. Operates the radiographic equipment utilizing radiation safety procedures
    1. Operates physiologic recorder/database system with expertise recognizing arrhythmias and normal/abnormal waveforms
    1. Operates manifold, power injector, and other support equipment (VCR, ACT machines, oximeters, and transport monitors)
    1. Develops cines when necessary according to policy
    1. Able to recognize basic equipment malfunctions and troubleshoot equipment in room. Report malfunctions to Biomed promptly if unable to resolve
    1. Exhibits a strong knowledge base of cardiovascular diseases and is able to interpret date gathered during procedures and recognize potential implications in patient care or complications

 

Job Requirements

Required

  • Associates Of Science, upon hire and
  • Minimum three (3) years clinical experience in a hospital setting, upon hire
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days and
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 months
