Founded in 1887, Dignity Health - California Hospital Medical Center is a 318-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in downtown Los Angeles, California. Serving over 70,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, heart care, women’s health, and a family birth center. In 2025, we opened our new patient tower, Grand Tower, featuring a dramatically expanded Emergency Department and Family Birth Center that will increase patient comfort and privacy.

As our Master Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a safe, developmentally appropriate early care and education environment that fosters the cognitive, social, emotional, language, and physical skill development of infant, toddler, and preschool children.
Every day you will develop and implement curriculum and daily lesson plans tailored for early childhood education classrooms. You will also build collaborative relationships with parents and families, and meticulously complete all necessary documentation for the evaluation and management of early childhood education programs.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional expertise in early childhood education, a proven ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate learning environments, and strong collaborative skills for working with parents and managing program documentation.
The California Hospital Medial Center Early Care and Education programs provide early care and education services for infants toddlers and pre-school children. Center-based Early Care and Education programs are open year round from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m Monday though Friday. Duties include:
