Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Invasive Technologist, you will prepare patients and assist physicians during invasive cardiac and vascular procedures so they can achieve superior patient care and technical support. Every day you will set up sterile fields, manage specialized equipment, monitor patient hemodynamics, operate imaging systems, and maintain detailed documentation.To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate expert technical proficiency, a comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular principles, and meticulous attention to detail in a high-pressure environment for successful outcomes. 

  • Clinical Expertise & Patient Preparation: Demonstrates professional knowledge in patient care, prepares patients for procedures to the highest standards, and assists with patient education
  • Angiography Procedure & Equipment Management: Manages the routine use and quality control of angiography equipment, and expertly operates imaging equipment for visualization and localization of anatomy during procedures
  • Procedural Assistance & Physician Support: Assists physicians by preparing contrast, performing exams under supervision, and managing specialized equipment for diagnostic and emergent situations
  • Radiation Safety & Infection Control: Adheres strictly to established radiation safety protocols for all personnel and protects patients and employees by following infection control policies
  • Data Management & Compliance: Assesses patients using pertinent data to select appropriate products, facilitates exam delivery for physician interpretation, utilizes CPT coding, and adheres to HIPAA and hospital policies
  • Departmental Contribution & Professional Development: Stocks supplies, completes job-specific competencies, contributes to departmental goal setting, attends meetings, and assists in meeting core measure and quality control thresholds

 

We are offering a $30,000 employment incentive to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduation from a School of Radiologic Technology
  • Member of the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Board of Examiners
  • Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist
  • Working knowledge of skills obtained in approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • Ability to work independently to perform standard and complex procedures under minimal direction
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) within 480 hours of employment and re-certification as required

 

Preferred

  • 1 year experience as a Radiological Technologist
  • Cardiac Interventional (CI) and/or Vascular Interventional (VI) certification preferred
