Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Registered Nurse, you will help patients and their families receive holistic and compassionate care in a safe and confidential environment so they can achieve optimal health outcomes and well-being.

Every day you will assess patients' physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs, plan and deliver competent care, and provide interactive patient and family education. You will be expected to collaborate with the healthcare team, document care according to policy, and participate in improving organizational performance.

To be successful in this role you must possess strong communication skills, an ability to work effectively under multiple demands, maintain a high degree of accuracy in nursing procedures, and treat all individuals with dignity and respect.

Assess patients physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs considering diagnosis, age, care setting, desire for care and response to care plan.

  • Plan care, collaborating with other members of the healthcare team.
  • Deliver competent care as required by patient, plan of care, and care setting.
  • Evaluate patients responses to care.
  • Provide interactive patient and family education.
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team and the public.

Job Requirements

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
One year of experience as an Emergency Department RN within the last 5 years 
California RN license
Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 Days
Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 90 Days


Preferred

  • Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse PNCB, upon hire
