As our Medical Receptionist, you will be the essential first point of contact for patients and visitors within our specialized Palliative Care practice, embodying the compassionate and welcoming spirit of our service. You will play a pivotal role in patient registration, appointment scheduling, and insurance verification, ensuring a seamless and supportive administrative experience.
Every day you will warmly greet patients and visitors, manage the reception area, and handle multi-line phone calls with a pleasant and helpful demeanor. You will meticulously register new patients in IDX, accurately verify insurance eligibility and benefits, and update patient demographic and financial information.
To be successful in this role, you will possess a high school diploma or GED. You must demonstrate strong basic computer skills, including proficiency with Outlook, Windows-based, and Google Suite programs. Preferred qualifications include previous medical office or insurance experience. Your exceptional ability to communicate effectively, multitask, and maintain professional working relationships with patients, employees, and physicians will be crucial.
