Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our EMT, you will perform essential general patient care, meticulously following established clinic workflows to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery within an outpatient setting.

Every day you will complete comprehensive patient intake duties, including obtaining vital signs, verifying allergies and medications, and documenting reasons for visits. You'll also collect and prepare specimens, administer ordered medications and vaccines, clean and sterilize instruments, ensure exam room readiness, and meticulously complete safety checklists, escalating any non-routine issues promptly.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care, efficiency, and safety, adeptly managing all intake processes and supporting clinical operations. Your ability to meticulously follow protocols, maintain a clean and stocked environment, and proactively address concerns will be crucial for exceptional patient experiences.

  • Assumes responsibility for assigned ambulance and its equipment at all times
  • Drives ambulance in a safe, efficient manner: maintains knowledge of major streets and locations, utilizes code 3 lights and siren only when appropriate in accordance with approved hospital policy, obeys local and state traffic laws, considers patient and staff safety and comfort during transport communicates with fire department and law enforcement personnel for safe accessible location of ambulance at scene of call and maneuvers ambulance safely on all calls, maintains knowledge of use of radios and other accessories used in ambulance and insures appropriate communication with involved agencies, records mileage, time, etc.
  • Assists with organization of equipment at scene of ambulance calls
  • Assists with patient care as needed during ambulance calls

Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Graduate General Studies
  • California Emergency Medical Technician license
  • California Driver's License
  • California Certified Ambulance Driver (CDMC)
  • Basic Life Support - CPR


Preferred

  • 1-3 years one year experience
